Amalfi Coast lemons are a spectacular lemon cultivar. The Italian term, Sfusato Amalfitano, refers to the fruit’s tapering shape, which distinguishes it from the rounder lemon kinds produced elsewhere in Italy. Lemons from the Amalfi Coast are significantly larger than other varieties, with each fruit weighing at least 100 grammes. The creamy yellow skin is medium to thick. Because of the essential oils it contains, the rind has a particularly strong lemon fragrance. The flesh is acidic, semi-sweet, and quite juicy on the inside. Lemons from the Amalfi Coast have few seeds.
